Terms of service
Terms of Service
Overview
Welcome to GR Collection. In these Terms, "we", "us" and "our" refer to GR Collection. We operate this store and website, including all related content, features, products and services (the "Services"). GR Collection is powered by Shopify, which provides the technology behind our store.
These Terms of Service, together with any policies referenced in them, describe your rights and responsibilities when you use the Services. Please read them carefully, as they include important information about how we work with you.
By using our Services you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy [LINK]. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
Nothing in these Terms removes or limits your legal rights as a consumer under Irish and EU law. Where anything here appears to conflict with those rights, your statutory rights take precedence.
1. Access and Account
By agreeing to these Terms, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age, or that you are using the Services with the involvement of a parent or guardian.
To use the Services you may be asked to provide information such as your email address and billing, payment and shipping details. You agree that the information you give us is accurate and complete, and that you have the right to provide it.
If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity that takes place under your account. Please contact us promptly if you believe your account has been used without your permission.
2. Our Products
We take care to represent our products accurately. Please note that colours and appearance may vary slightly from what you see on screen. This is normal and can be affected by your device, photography, lighting, and the natural characteristics of fabric and textiles. Small variations in weave, finish, dye lots and handcrafted detailing are part of the character of our pieces and are not defects.
Product descriptions and availability may change from time to time. We may discontinue a product or limit quantities available in a particular region, and we will apply any such limits fairly.
3. Custom, Made-to-Order and Wedding Items
We accept custom, personalised, made-to-order and wedding enquiries. For these pieces, we confirm the key details with you before production begins, so that we are both clear on exactly what is being made. Production starts only once those details are agreed.
Because these items are made to your own specifications, they may be excluded from change-of-mind cancellation, as set out in our Returns, Refunds and Cancellations Policy [LINK]. This does not affect your rights if a custom item arrives faulty, damaged, not as described, or not fit for purpose. Those rights always apply.
4. Orders
When you place an order you are making an offer to purchase. Your order is accepted once we confirm it, and we need to receive payment before an order is accepted. We will send you an order confirmation by email.
Please review your order before submitting it, as we may be unable to change an order once production or dispatch has begun. If we are unable to accept, need to change, or must cancel an order, we will contact you using the details you provided and arrange a refund of any amount already paid where appropriate.
We may decline or cancel an order where there is a genuine reason to do so, including suspected fraud, a clear pricing or stock error, an item that cannot reasonably be fulfilled, or abusive or threatening behaviour toward our team. If we cancel an order you have already paid for in these circumstances, we will refund you in full.
We welcome both individual customers and trade or wholesale buyers. If you are purchasing for resale or trade supply, please contact us so we can confirm the appropriate terms for your order.
5. Prices and Payment
Prices are shown in euro (EUR) unless otherwise displayed. The price that applies to your order is the price shown at the time you place it, as set out in your confirmation email. Unless stated otherwise, posted prices do not include shipping or any customs or import charges that may apply to international orders.
Prices, discounts and promotions may change from time to time. Promotions may have their own terms, and where those differ from these Terms, the promotion terms apply to that promotion.
You agree to provide accurate payment and billing information and to keep it up to date so we can complete your order and contact you if needed.
6. Shipping and Delivery
We ship within Ireland first, and to the EU, UK and other destinations as configured at checkout. Delivery timeframes shown are estimates and are not guaranteed, as some parts of delivery, such as carrier handling and customs processing, are outside our control. We will always do our best to keep you informed.
For consumers, the goods remain our responsibility until they are delivered into your physical possession, in line with Irish and EU consumer law. If an item is lost or damaged in transit, please contact us and we will put it right.
7. Errors, Inaccuracies and Omissions
Occasionally information in our Services may contain a typographical error, inaccuracy or omission relating to a description, price, promotion, shipping charge or availability. We may correct any such error and update information or, where necessary, cancel an affected order, including after it has been placed. If this affects an order you have paid for, we will refund you promptly.
8. Intellectual Property
Our Services, including our text, images, graphics, product photography, design and the selection and arrangement of content, are owned by GR Collection or its licensors and are protected by Irish, EU and international intellectual property law.
You may use the Services for your own personal, non-commercial use. Please do not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify or republish our content without our written permission. The GR Collection name, logo and related branding are our trademarks and may not be used without our consent. Shopify's name and branding are trademarks of Shopify. Other names and marks on the Services belong to their respective owners.
9. Optional Third-Party Tools
We may provide access to tools offered by third parties that we do not control or monitor. These are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, and your use of them is at your own discretion and subject to the relevant provider's terms. We are not responsible for third-party tools, but this does not affect your statutory rights in relation to products you buy from us.
10. Third-Party Links
Our Services may link to websites operated by third parties. We are not responsible for the content or practices of those sites, and visiting them is at your own discretion. If you buy products or services from a third party, that transaction is between you and them, and any questions should be directed to that third party.
11. Relationship with Shopify
GR Collection is powered by Shopify, which enables us to provide the Services to you. However, any sales and purchases you make in our store are made directly with GR Collection. By using the Services, you acknowledge and agree that Shopify is not responsible for any aspect of any sales between you and GR Collection, including any injury, damage, or loss resulting from purchased products and services. You hereby expressly release Shopify and its affiliates from all claims, damages, and liabilities arising from or related to your purchases and transactions with GR Collection.
12. Privacy
Personal information we collect through the Services is handled in line with our Privacy Policy [LINK]. Because the Services are hosted by Shopify, Shopify also processes certain information about your use of the Services in order to provide and improve them, and some information may be transferred to and processed by Shopify and its partners, who may be located outside Ireland. Please review our Privacy Policy for full details.
13. Feedback
If you send us ideas, suggestions, reviews or other feedback, you allow us to use it to operate and improve our Services and products, without any obligation on us to keep it confidential, pay for it, or respond. You confirm that any feedback you provide is your own, is accurate, does not breach anyone else's rights, and is not unlawful, abusive or misleading. You are responsible for the feedback you provide. We may remove content we reasonably consider unlawful or objectionable.
14. Acceptable Use
Please use the Services lawfully and respectfully. You agree not to use the Services to break any law, infringe our rights or those of others, harass or harm any person, transmit false or misleading information, send spam, impersonate anyone, or interfere with other people's use of the Services.
You also agree not to introduce malicious code, scrape or extract data without permission, resell or exploit any part of the Services, collect other people's personal information, or bypass any security or access measures we use. We may suspend or close an account where these Terms are seriously or repeatedly breached.
15. Automated Agents
This section applies if you use or deploy an automated agent to interact with the Services. An "agent" is software that takes action on your behalf without direct supervision. Agents may interact with the Services only if they clearly identify themselves as automated, do not disguise their activity or mimic human users, do not attempt to bypass measures designed to distinguish automated from human access, and respect any request we make to limit that access. We may apply technical measures to control how agents interact with the Services.
16. Your Consumer Rights and Our Responsibilities
As a consumer, you have important rights under Irish and EU law, including the right to goods that are of satisfactory quality, as described, and fit for their purpose, and, for eligible online purchases, a 14-day cooling-off period. Our Returns, Refunds and Cancellations Policy [LINK] explains how these work in practice. Nothing in these Terms reduces those rights.
We provide our Services and website with reasonable care. Some general information on the site is provided for guidance only, and while we keep it as accurate as we can, we ask that you do not rely on general content as a substitute for advice specific to your situation.
17. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or under your statutory consumer rights.
Subject to that, we are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, or for indirect or consequential losses such as lost profits or lost data arising from your use of the Services beyond what we are responsible for by law. This section does not affect your rights as a consumer.
18. Indemnity
If you are using the Services other than as a consumer, for example as a trade or business buyer, you agree to cover reasonable losses we incur that arise directly from your breach of these Terms, your breach of the law, or your infringement of a third party's rights. This section does not apply to you where you are acting as a consumer, and does not affect your statutory rights.
19. General
If any part of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. If we do not enforce a right straight away, we do not lose it. These Terms, together with the policies referred to in them, form the agreement between you and us regarding your use of the Services.
We may transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms to another organisation, for example if our business is reorganised, and this will not affect your rights. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our consent.
20. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ireland, and the courts of Ireland will have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident in another EU country, you also keep the benefit of any mandatory consumer protections available to you under the law of your country of residence.
21. Changes to These Terms
You can review the current version of these Terms on this page at any time. We may update them from time to time, and we will post the updated version here. Where changes are material, we will give notice in line with applicable law. Changes do not apply retrospectively to orders already placed.
22. Our Purpose
GR Collection is built around more than commerce. Each year, 20% of our annual net profits go towards women's education, safety and opportunity. This is calculated on our net profit at year end rather than on individual sales, and we share it as a reflection of what the business stands for.
